Benzoyloxycarbamate derivatives FC-121, FC-122, FC-123, and FC-124 are inexpensive and storable nitrogen sources for use in the intermolecular Sharpless aminohydroxylation reaction and its asymmetric variant. These reagents are effective under base-free reaction conditions.
